“Visitors are guests; how do you want to compare? It’s up to you,” Yun Gui asked in a deep voice.

“Anything works for me,” Tang Xin casually replied. After all, no matter what they compared, the other party would lose.

Yun Gui’s face showed displeasure, obviously irritated by Tang Xin’s attitude.

“Since that’s the case, then I won’t hold back. We’ll have three rounds of competition, the best of two games. In the first round, we’ll draw lots from several pieces of paper to determine the pharmaceutical requirements. Both of us will make the medicine simultaneously, and we’ll see whose medicine has better effects. In the second round, we’ll each make a medicine, and the other person will analyze it. The one with more accurate analysis wins.”

“As for the third round,” Yun Gui paused for a moment, pondering, then continued, “we’ll decide after the first two rounds are completed.”

If the opponent loses two rounds in a row, there’s no need to continue.

“Fine,” Tang Xin readily agreed.

After obtaining Yun Tian’s consent, the two of them relocated to Yun Gui’s dedicated studio for the competition.

Yun Gui was about to draw lots from the paper slips when Tang Xin lazily interjected, “No need to bother, just compete in your best area.”

Yun Gui was slightly stunned. Competitions couldn’t be faked; they’d see the real deal. Why was the other party still being modest at this time? Didn’t they know that losing the competition would mean she would be driven out of the Yun family?

Could it be that the other party had genuine skills and was not just pretending?

Yun Gui’s thoughts churned in her mind as she replied, “I am best at making scar removal cream; let’s compete in that.”

Yun Tian furrowed his brows lightly. “Aunt Gui, isn’t that inappropriate?”

He knew Yun Gui was truly not being polite; she indeed made the best scar removal cream.

“Miss Tang must be exceptionally skilled in medicine and proficient in everything. I suppose she won’t mind,” Yun Gui half-teased, half-ironically.

Tang Xin showed approval, saying, “You’ve seen through me even when I’ve hidden so deeply. You have a keen eye, truly worthy of being Master Yun Gui.”

Yun Gui was speechless and choked back her words. She was clearly mocking the other party, yet the other party calmly responded, defusing the awkwardness.

But such a response didn’t require any skill; thick skin was enough.

Yan Hao, Yun Tian, and Butler Su stood aside, watching the competition.

At this moment, Yan Hao clenched his fist with a suppressed smile near his lips.

He could see clearly that Master Yun Gui didn’t believe in the master’s medical skills. She intentionally made sarcastic remarks, yet the master paid no mind, treating the sarcasm as praise and accepting it graciously.

Perhaps because, deep down, the master genuinely felt that what the other party said was true.

The competition officially began.

Yun Gui picked a few materials first, determined to show her dominance, leaving no room for doubt.

As she selected, she said, “All the commonly used medicinal herbs are here. If anything is missing, you can mention it, and I’ll have someone fetch it.”

With the intention of astonishing her opponent, every move of hers was particularly gentle, and every operation was extremely meticulous.

Whether it was the amount of materials used or the control of the fire, everything was in optimal condition.

After busywork for a while, when most of the process was done and only the final step remained—mixing the materials into a cream—Yun Gui wiped the sweat from her forehead, took a breath, and rested for a while.

The other party had chosen exactly the same materials as her!

Yun Gui observed the opponent’s process a little more and became even more shocked. The steps were identical too!

The resulting products might appear similar, but the efficacy of the medicine would vary greatly.

However, observing the other party’s demeanor, Yun Gui remained calm and composed, indicating it wasn’t reckless behavior without confidence.

Could it be true that someone could decipher a formula just by watching others operate? Yun Gui doubted.

With a confident smile, Yun Gui turned back and continued working on her cream.

After a while, she finished packing the cooled cream into a box, smiled, and said, “I’m done.”

The next moment, a clear female voice sounded, “I’m done too.”

Yun Gui was stunned and turned around abruptly. This couldn’t be! She only needed to mix the materials into a cream, while the other party was still processing the materials separately. How could they finish almost simultaneously?

Tang Xin picked up the box in her hand and gestured towards Yun Gui.

Yun Gui looked over and was stunned again.

She always made white cream, while the substance in the other party’s box was lake blue.

Could it be that after learning the formula, the other party added a coloring agent to prove they used different formulas?

Yun Gui’s expression became extremely strange.

If the guess was true, it could only mean that she had never seen such shameless behavior.

“Who’s going to test it?” Tang Xin glanced at Yun Tian.

Yun Tian gestured to Butler Su. Butler Su immediately understood, rolled up the sleeve of his right arm, and laughed, “I always thought scars were a man’s badge of honor. It looks like I’ll have one less medal this time.”

“Who goes first?” Tang Xin’s gaze continued to shift towards Yun Gui.

Yun Gui smirked. If she went first and amazed everyone, what would the other party do?

“You go first.”

Tang Xin didn’t care about the order; out of courtesy, she asked. After receiving the answer, she tossed her box to Butler Su and said, “Try it.”

Yan Hao caught a glimpse of the color of the cream in the box, and his brows furrowed. The cream seemed different from the one Master gave to Xu Jiahui?

Indeed, after Butler Su used the cream, the scar removal effect wasn’t as good as before.

Yan Hao wondered, What was the master up to?

“How could this be!”

A startled exclamation came from afar. Yan Hao looked over and saw Yun Gui struggling to hide her shock, dropping the box in her hand with a “clatter.”

Yan Hao knew the master had probably won.

She casually made some cream that could win instead of using the familiar formula. The master was indeed cautious.

“The formula is quite good. But if you add three pieces of ice to the mix, the effect will be even better,” Tang Xin suggested.

Yun Gui wore a bewildered expression. When she finally understood, she couldn’t help but feel shocked. Did the other person really know her formula and methods of operation? And they were even giving her advice to improve the formula?

Everything felt like a dream.
