Chapter 381: Childhood Friends Must Be Cultivated from a Young Age (64)
Shen Mubai snapped back to reality and saw the young male lead standing right in front of her, startling her into a jump. “How… how did you find me?”
An Ziyu’s eyes were filled with a doting smile as he ruffled her hair.
“No matter where you are, I can always find you.”
Shen Mubai glanced around and noticed that Yin Qianxia was no longer there. She hesitantly asked, “Was she confessing to you just now?”
An Ziyu’s lips curved slightly, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
“Yes.”
Shen Mubai, growing nervous, asked, “Did you accept her confession?”
The amusement in his eyes deepened, and An Ziyu’s voice softened as he said, “I already have you, Luoluo.”
A hint of disappointment flashed in Shen Mubai’s eyes, and she looked at him expectantly, asking, “Aren’t you even going to try?”
The smile on his lips slowly faded, and An Ziyu’s gaze turned dark and somber.
“Do you want me to accept her confession, Luoluo?”
Seeing his change in expression, Shen Mubai quickly shut her mouth.
An Ziyu smiled again, though, and stared intently at her, his tone dangerous.
“Luoluo, don’t make me angry.”
Shen Mubai, now thoroughly intimidated, stammered, “I was just joking.”
An Ziyu ruffled her hair again, “Be good, Luoluo.”
When the first semester of their second year of high school began, there were two months left until the young male lead’s seventeenth birthday.
When asked what she was planning to give him as a birthday present, Shen Mubai thought for a moment and said, “How about I cook something for you?”
An Ziyu chuckled softly, gazing into her eyes with a suggestive tone, “How about you give yourself to me?”
Shen Mubai was so startled that she nearly jumped three feet into the air, eyeing the young male lead with caution.
An Ziyu laughed lightly, his eyes narrowing, “Just kidding.”
On the day of his birthday, Shen Mubai originally thought that the young male lead would celebrate with Xiao Xueqing and the others.
But to her surprise, he lied, saying he would celebrate with his school friends, and then promptly dragged her out the door.
Reluctantly, Shen Mubai followed him.
There were no classmates, no friends—only the two of them.
Shen Mubai was left with no choice but to let him drag her around, eating and playing together.
When night fell, he unexpectedly pulled her into a small inn.
The landlady, wearing heavy makeup, glanced at them casually and asked, “Just the two of you?”
An Ziyu smiled, “Yes.”
Perhaps because of his striking appearance, the landlady couldn’t help but take another look at him before calmly asking, “Do you have an ID?”
Shen Mubai finally felt a bit relieved.
But then An Ziyu pulled out a small, square object from his pocket and handed it over.
The landlady checked it and said, “Okay.”
Shen Mubai widened her eyes in surprise.
“Minors can stay here? Just one ID is enough?”
The landlady gave her an amused look and chuckled, “Oh dear, this isn’t a hotel. We don’t have that many rules.”
Well, Shen Mubai understood that, but she still couldn’t help feeling a bit hopeful.
As her hand was tightly held and they were about to leave, the landlady asked, “Do you need cond*m?”
Shen Mubai wished she could dig a hole and bury herself right there.
An Ziyu declined the landlady’s offer, then opened the room door and said, “The conditions are a bit poor, but it’s still okay.”
He turned to Shen Mubai with a smile and said, “Luoluo, we’ll stay here tonight.”
Shen Mubai clung to the door, refusing to go in.
“What did you bring me here for?”
