Quick Transmigration: Rescuing the Blackened Male Lead - Chapter 423
Chapter 423: Heard You Got Shelved (28)
This location shoot mainly focused on the confrontation scenes between Immortal Qingsu and Xuanyuan Haoyu, as well as the love triangle involving Luo Yao.
Shen Mubai’s character, Princess Yinling, finds out that Qingsu is in love with Luo Yao.
Feeling both unwilling to let go and too proud to admit her feelings, she is heartbroken.
After struggling with her emotions, she decides to follow Qingsu down to the mortal world.
Since she didn’t have any scenes to film in the morning, Shen Mubai went back to rest.
In the afternoon, she had a scene with Yu Jingchen.
However, before their scene could start, a small accident occurred on set.
In one of the fight scenes between Zhang Hao’s Xuanyuan Haoyu and Yu Jingchen’s Immortal Qingsu, for some unknown reason, the prop sword in Yu Jingchen’s hand had been replaced with a real sword.
Zhang Hao ended up with a small cut on his hand, and now the entire crew was on edge.
Director Wang’s face was grim.
There had been a mistake not long ago, and now there was another incident, this time involving the safety of the actors.
If word got out, it could damage the reputation of the production.
The props team was being scolded harshly, but no one was willing to step forward and take responsibility.
Zhang Hao smiled and said, “Director Wang, let’s just leave it at that. Besides, I didn’t get seriously injured.”
Before Director Wang could respond, Zhang Hao’s assistant, Xiaonan, shouted, “Brother Hao, how can we just let this go? Someone in this crew clearly has it out for you!”
Zhang Hao pretended to scold him, “Xiaonan!”
Xiaonan mumbled, “What did I say wrong?”
Director Wang scanned the props team with a dark expression.
“How are you usually handling your responsibilities? Do you even realize how serious this is? If something had happened, could you bear the consequences? I’m not shooting a single scene today until we find out who’s responsible!”
The crew members hung their heads in fear.
A man who had joined the team not long ago hesitated for a moment and then raised his hand.
Director Wang shot a sharp glance at him. “What do you have to say?”
The man, who was usually responsible for minor tasks and rarely stood out, nervously said, “Director, I’m not sure if I should mention this or not.”
“Why wouldn’t you?” Director Wang’s voice was low.
The man hesitated again and glanced in Yu Jingchen’s direction.
In a small voice, he said, “I saw him messing with the props a few times today.”
He suddenly waved his hands as if realizing he might’ve said something wrong. “I’m not implying anything, it’s just…”
Director Wang’s expression tightened, and there was a hint of surprise in his eyes as he looked at Yu Jingchen.
Shen Mubai couldn’t hold back any longer and jumped in, “You’re clearly accusing him! Do you have any evidence? Or are you just relying on your own words?”
The man glanced at her but couldn’t say anything more.
Zhang Hao smiled at her and said kindly, “Xiaoxing, he probably didn’t mean it that way. He was just reporting what he saw.”
Shen Mubai sneered, “If you don’t have any evidence, then don’t speak carelessly.”
She gave Zhang Hao a calm look and added, “Besides, wasn’t it Jingchen who noticed something was wrong first? If he hadn’t stopped in time, Brother Hao, your injury would’ve been much worse.”
Zhang Hao opened his mouth to respond, but for once, he had nothing to say.
