Quick Transmigration: The Villain Boss is a Bit Cute - Chapter 112
Chapter 112
“You…” The director was so furious that he couldn’t catch his breath and fainted.
“Director.”
“Director.”
“Quick, call an ambulance.”
The entire crew was thrown into chaos.
The culprit, however, grabbed Lu Yunche’s hand and ran out.
“Are you crazy? You even dared to hit the director!” Lu Yunche quickly pulled her back.
Su Hua casually replied, “He bullied you! Hmph! I went easy on him.”
“Alright, honestly, I didn’t like him either. You hit him well, but this job is gone now.”
If word got out that an assistant had hit a director, he probably wouldn’t find work again.
Su Hua held his hand and said seriously, “Boss, I can take care of you.”
“I’m not going to be a kept man.”
If he were willing to go along with unspoken rules, he wouldn’t be in this situation.
“Do you still want to be an actor?”
Lu Yunche thought for a moment, then nodded, “I initially entered the entertainment industry to make money, but now I actually enjoy it. Besides acting, I don’t know how to do anything else.”
After being scouted at 18 and entering the industry, he didn’t go to college.
Whether it was studying or entering the entertainment industry, both were ways to leave that home, so it didn’t matter.
Looking back now, he realized he had been too naive.
Su Hua looked at him but didn’t mention the idea of switching companies.
He was sensitive, and if she brought it up, he’d definitely think she had ulterior motives.
“Then I’ll find you some acting gigs.”
Lu Yunche didn’t really believe her words.
She was just a small assistant, probably not much better off than him.
On the way back, Lu Yunche, as usual, slept in the back seat, but he was in and out of sleep, never fully resting.
“Am I driving poorly?” She was driving very steadily.
Lu Yunche shook his head.
Under the car lights, his dark circles looked even more pronounced.
“It’s not your fault. I just can’t sleep at night.”
“Why?” The original plot didn’t mention this.
Lu Yunche lowered his eyes and didn’t speak, leaving the car in silence.
Just when Su Hua thought he wouldn’t say anything, he spoke, his voice soft and faint.
He said, “When I was a kid, I was locked in a small, dark room for two days and nights. After that, I became afraid of the night.”
Maybe it was the beautiful moonlight, but Lu Yunche didn’t know why he was telling someone he used to dislike so much something he had never shared with anyone else.
“You don’t have to be afraid anymore. I’ll stay with you.”
Her voice was gentle, like a feather brushing across his heart, bringing a wave of warmth.
Lu Yunche didn’t know why, but he couldn’t bring himself to dislike Gu Hua this time.
He even felt a slight urge to get closer to her.
If Su Hua knew how he felt, she would understand that it was because it was the same soul.
Even though they were just fragments of a soul, there was still some influence.
“Mm.”
Soon, the car arrived at their neighborhood, and they went upstairs together.
As she unlocked the door, Su Hua smiled, “Boss, would you like to have dinner together?”
They hadn’t eaten since the afternoon.
“You can cook?” When she was his assistant before, she would bring him lunch, but he knew it wasn’t homemade.
He could recognize the taste of that restaurant instantly.
“Yes, I’ve learned over the past two years. I’m quite good at it.”
Maybe he had already broken too many of his own rules today, or maybe he just didn’t want to go home and eat instant noodles, but Lu Yunche nodded.
The warm yellow light fell on the young man’s face as he reclined on the sofa.
His fair skin was translucent, glowing softly, his long eyelashes casting a small shadow, and his slightly parted lips revealed a hint of his pink tongue.
“Boss, dinner’s ready.”
Her soft voice touched his heart, and Lu Yunche opened his eyes, momentarily dazed.
He looked at Su Hua, surprised, “Did I fall asleep?”
“Yes.”
Su Hua brushed the hair off his forehead, the gesture intimate, “You can sleep after you eat.”
Her action left him stunned.
As she leaned in, her gentle brows and bright eyes, her straight nose, and her small pink lips, like juicy fruit, made him want to take a bite.
“Boss?”
Su Hua waved a hand in front of his eyes.
Lu Yunche quickly snapped out of it, his ears turning slightly red as he thought about what had just crossed his mind.
He stood up nonchalantly and asked, “What did you make?”
“Tomato and egg stir-fry, sweet and sour ribs, and fish-flavored shredded pork.”
These were all his favorite dishes.
They sat at the table, where the rice was already served.
“Try it.”
Su Hua handed him the chopsticks, her eyes sparkling.
Lu Yunche chuckled and picked up a piece of rib.
The meat was tender, the flavor perfectly balanced between sweet and sour, perhaps a bit sweeter than usual, but that was just how he liked it.
“It’s delicious.”
It was just to his taste.
“I’m glad. The practice wasn’t in vain.”
After dinner, Su Hua went to the kitchen to wash the dishes.
Lu Yunche didn’t suggest leaving; instead, he sat on the sofa.
By the time Su Hua finished the dishes and came back, he had fallen asleep again.
Su Hua had to fetch a thin blanket from the bedroom and gently draped it over him.
“You’re awake?”
She hadn’t expected him to be such a light sleeper.
“I fell asleep again.”
Even though it was just a short nap, Lu Yunche felt incredibly refreshed.
He hadn’t slept so soundly in a long time.
“I’ll head back now.”
He stood up, maybe because he was so tired today, although even he didn’t quite believe that excuse.
Su Hua didn’t dare to stop him and saw him out very considerately before returning to her own place to wash up and go to bed.
On the other hand, Lu Yunche still couldn’t sleep.
He was exhausted, but looking at the lit-up room, he just couldn’t fall asleep.
After a while, he took out a bottle of medicine from the drawer, hesitated for a moment, then put it back, lying awake until dawn before drifting off into a light sleep.
“Knock, knock, knock.”
“Boss.”
A persistent knocking and calling came from outside.
Lu Yunche was awakened by the noise, fell out of bed, and quickly went to the door, shouting, “What is it? You’re so loud!”
“Boss.”
A pitiful voice replied.
Lu Yunche reluctantly opened his eyes and saw a black head bowed low, looking like they had done something wrong.
Suppressing his morning grumpiness, he took a deep breath and asked, “What’s the matter?”
The person didn’t look up, just raised a hand, “Breakfast is ready. You have a bad stomach.”
Lu Yunche was stunned.
Since he was locked in that small dark room at seven, apart from eating breakfast when rushing to early morning shoots, he never had breakfast.
“Come in.”
He regretted it as soon as he said it, but the person had already slipped inside.
Lu Yunche’s house was very empty—no, it was sparse.
Besides the sofa and coffee table, there wasn’t even a TV in the living room, and the rest of the place was similar.
Most importantly, it was also very messy.
Su Hua acted as if she didn’t notice, walking straight to the coffee table and setting out the breakfast she had bought.
