Quick Transmigration: The Villain Boss is a Bit Cute - Chapter 146
Chapter 146
“What most beloved prince? He’s nothing special.”
Wei Jue’s face seemed even paler. He respectfully said, “The weather is cold. Let’s go horseback riding.”
His lowered eyes held a deep, endless abyss—these past few days, her presence had nearly made him forget about these people.
“Truly worthy of royalty, knowing when to back down!” Ding Qizheng praised.
The others, including the servants, all laughed. Without another glance at Wei Jue, they turned and headed toward the door, the rest following closely behind.
Wei Jue looked at his thin clothes but didn’t go back inside to grab more layers.
He hurried after them.
The imperial city’s horse track was near the city gates.
The three of them rode in a carriage with their servants, while Wei Jue ran behind.
Ding Qizheng glanced out of the carriage window at Wei Jue. The cold weather, his frail frame wrapped in thin clothing—his delicate face evoked pity. Those mesmerizing peach blossom eyes, skin paler than snow, lips thin and colorless—walking through the winter air, he was a sight that stirred the heart.
“F***!” Ding Qizheng cursed.
Lu Wenxian, beside him, asked in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
Kong Weimin also looked out and immediately understood Ding Qizheng’s thoughts.
It was uncanny. Wei Jue had been a hostage for two years now, with lips red and teeth white, more beautiful than any woman. Many in their circles enjoyed such pastimes, yet no one had ever been able to have him.
Ding Qizheng included.
They once suspected someone was secretly interfering, but no matter how much they investigated, the incidents always seemed coincidental, as if fate itself was at play.
Ding Qizheng had attempted several times to take Wei Jue, but something always happened—either a fire broke out at the residence, a family emergency occurred, or some other unforeseen issue arose. Over time, rumors spread that Wei Jue was cursed, born with a sinister fate.
Some feared him and stayed away. Others, undeterred, took pleasure in bullying him—after all, the incidents had terrified them, and making him suffer felt like a twisted form of payback.
Kong Weimin exchanged a look with Lu Wenxian, who immediately caught on and laughed.
“Ah Zheng, you still haven’t given up? That kid is cursed. Bullying him is one thing, but touching him? That’s just asking for trouble.”
Ding Qizheng lowered the curtain, spat, and sneered, “Might as well just ruin that face of his. Otherwise, I won’t be able to stop thinking about it.”
“Ah Zheng, your legitimate sister is about to get married. Don’t create unnecessary trouble.”
Ding Qizheng frowned, then shouted outside, “Hurry up!”
The carriage suddenly picked up speed, and Wei Jue ran behind it. Passersby whispered amongst themselves, but no one was particularly surprised.
By the time they reached the horse track, Wei Jue was clutching his chest, gasping for breath, his face deathly pale from oxygen deprivation.
A stablehand led over a horse, and Ding Qizheng immediately mounted it.
“Get on. Tie yourself up.”
A servant, well-versed in this routine, handed Wei Jue a thick rope. He followed the other end with his eyes and saw that it was tied around Ding Qizheng’s waist.
Lowering his gaze, Wei Jue silently tied the rope around his own waist, thinking to himself—this will end soon. He would make every one of his tormentors pay a terrible price.
The moment the knot was secured, a sharp “Hyah!” rang out.
A whip cracked against the horse’s flank. Startled by the pain, the horse bolted forward.
Wei Jue, barely standing, was immediately yanked off his feet and dragged along.
The freezing ground sapped his warmth. The rough sand scraped against his body, and he felt the wounds that had only just begun to scab over splitting open again.
Kong Weimin and Lu Wenxian mounted their horses, laughing.
“Hahaha! These past few days of socializing have been exhausting. Finally, some fun!”
Meanwhile, Su Hua had just finished purchasing several inns when a voice rang in her mind.
“Host, Wei Jue’sblackening value has reached 140! Just ten more, and it’ll be maxed out!”
S Huau, who had just finalized her transactions: “???”
She had spent some time with Wei Jue at the hostage residence, ensuring he was living well and had his own hidden guards before focusing on her own plans.
Now, she rushed out of the inn, overhearing the murmurs of pedestrians.
“That hostage really is unlucky.”
“Yeah, I heard Young Master Ding took him to the horse track again. Lots of people saw it.”
“I heard they’re taking him to the lake afterward.”
Su Hua immediately grabbed one of them.
“You mean Wei Jue?”
The middle-aged man she caught was about to curse at her, but when he met her sharp gaze, he flinched, his eyes shifting evasively.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Spit it out.”
Su Hua pulled out a silver ingot.
The man’s eyes lit up. Lowering his voice, he said, “Yes, Ding Qizheng took Wei Jue to the horse track.”
Su Hua suddenly recalled a scene from the original plot—Wei Jue being humiliated, dragged through the dirt at the horse track, later used for entertainment at a brothel, and admired by numerous nobles for his beauty…
“Where is the horse track?”
The man pointed in a direction, and the next moment, the woman before him bolted away.
At the horse track, the cold weather meant fewer visitors. However, Ding Qizheng’s show had drawn quite the crowd of wealthy young masters.
Wei Jue was being dragged at high speed, his clothes shredded by friction, exposing large patches of bloodied skin. His once pale hands and face were covered in wounds. His lips, having eaten mouthfuls of sand and gravel, were raw and festering. His entire face was bruised and bloodied, his hair disheveled. His eyes were shut—no one knew whether he was alive or dead.
“Hahaha! If Young Master Ding hadn’t remembered today, we might’ve forgotten about this little bastard!”
“Yeah!” someone chimed in. He then called out to Ding Qizheng, who was still riding.
“Young Master Ding, how about heading to the lake afterward? We can invite some lovely ladies to watch!”
Ding Qizheng, skilled in martial arts, overhead and, in a great mood, replied, “Sounds good.”
“I’ve long been annoyed by that pretty face. Can you believe how many girls still fawn over him? Let’s show them—he’s nothing more than our dog.”
The crowd erupted into laughter.
Just then—
“You can’t go in, miss!”
A stunning woman in red strode forward, brushing past the servants trying to block her.
“Bang!”
Before anyone could admire her beauty, she sent a servant flying with a kick.
Kong Weimin, who had just dismounted, immediately stepped forward.
“Miss, may I ask—”
“Bang!”
Su Hua kicked him five meters away. He spat out a mouthful of blood.
The wealthy young masters snapped to attention, their servants forming a circle around Su Hua.
“Miss, why are you attacking people?”
The horse track was vast. Su Hua glanced around until she spotted a man on horseback, dragging another person toward her at high speed.
Before De’er could even finish its warning, she had already drawn her sword.
With a single leap, she broke through the encirclement and charged straight at Ding Qizheng.
Ding Qizheng had no time to marvel at her beauty. The murderous aura rushing toward him made his hair stand on end.
He immediately leapt off his horse, but upon landing, stumbled back several steps.
With no one pulling the reins, the panicked horse galloped forward, crashing into the crowd of wealthy young masters and servants, sending them sprawling.
Then came the screams.
