When the Green Tea Female Side Character Wants to Ridicule the Male Lead - Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Dugu Mohan returned to the villa, and the butler, sensing the strong smell of alcohol on him, promptly arranged for a sobering soup. After resting on the sofa in the living room, he began to regain his composure.
His eyes scanned the surroundings, and he noticed two servants standing anxiously outside Ruan Chacha’s room, seemingly worried about something happening inside.
“What’s going on?” His voice was hoarse yet filled with magnetism.
The butler sighed, “Madam has been crying since she returned from the company. We didn’t dare to go in and console her, and she’s been crying till now.” The butler seemed to be deeply troubled.
Dugu Mohan loosened his tie with a sudden motion, probably not expecting Ruan Chacha to be in such a state.
The butler hesitated before finally bringing up, “Sir, Madam… is very heartbroken. We are afraid she might contemplate something drastic. It wouldn’t be good if she did anything foolish. Madam also really wants to see you. Could you please go and talk to her, sir?”
Dugu Mòhán remained silent, taking the key from the butler and heading upstairs.
The butler nodded with relief, thinking that there might be hope for the master. He quickly instructed the two servants above to stay away, not wanting to disturb the rare moment of reconciliation between the couple. If the madam saw the master, she would surely be delighted, and there might be some sweet moments between them. The butler smiled with a benevolent expression.
The two servants, thrilled that the master was going to console the madam, anticipated a romantic night for the couple.
Standing at Ruan Chacha’s room door, Dugu Mohan could hear the sounds of crying from inside.
Without knocking, he used the key to open the door and entered, closing the door behind him.
Dugu Mohan looked at Ruan Chacha with a headache.
Ruan Chacha was munching on snacks and crying bitterly. “Scumbag! This kind of man is the worst!” she exclaimed while crying. It took her a moment to realize that her room had been invaded by someone she considered a scumbag.
Upon seeing him, Ruan Chacha couldn’t contain her anger. “You big oaf! Scumbag!” She threw a pillow at him.
Dugu Mohan quickly caught the pillow, glanced at the TV screen, and then turned his gaze to Ruan Chacha, whose eyes were red from crying.
“…”
“Are you crying while watching TV?” Dugu Mohan was utterly at a loss for words, encountering someone so unique for the first time.
Ruan Chacha, teary-eyed, retorted, “What else? Do you think I’m crying for you?” She hadn’t realized at first that he had come back. How did he return? And why did he enter her room?
Thinking she was crying because of him, Ruan Chacha couldn’t help but mock him. “Haha, just like you? Do you think I’m your secretary? I… I like you, you know? Do you even realize? Hahaha…” She imitated with a touch of ridicule.
Dugu Mohan: “…”
Ruan Chacha burst into laughter, her stomach hurting. She thought it was amusing to have a self-centered CEO, and she couldn’t wait for her green tea points to accumulate enough to free herself from his dominance. Then she wouldn’t have to listen to his high-handedness anymore.
Without responding to Dugu Mohan, she just rolled her eyes at him.
Dugu Mohan, with a dark expression on his face, looked at her with a gaze colder than the bottom of a pot. It seemed like he really wanted to strangle her!
Ruan Chacha, hearing his question, felt nauseous. Did he really think she had some illness, falling for a self-centered maniac? Once her green tea points were enough, she could finally break free from this and wouldn’t have to endure his arrogant words anymore.
Without answering Dugu Mohan, she just gave him a big eye roll.
Dugu Mohan stared at her with a chilling gaze. “Do you want to die?” He dared to look at him with such eyes.
Ruan Chacha was horrified by his words. Finally looking at him directly, the two locked eyes. Compared to the protagonist’s presence and aura, Ruan Chacha immediately retreated.
Dugu Mohan, with a gaze that looked like he was about to kill someone, asked, “Do you want to die?”
Ruan Chacha, feeling the chill, immediately surrendered. “Ah!!!” She screamed loudly toward the door.
Even the stoic Dugu Mohan was startled by her sudden scream; Ruan Chacha wished she could scare him to death.
“Brother Mohan… please don’t hit me… I was wrong! I shouldn’t have asked whose perfume scent was on you! Sob, sob, sob, sob…” Ruan Chacha shouted loudly towards the door.
Feeling triumphant, she pulled out a smirk at Dugu Mohan. Who’s in control here? Once I make a move, someone will naturally take care of you.
Then she swiftly descended to the ground, deliberately making herself look disheveled, messing up her hair a bit, and almost shedding a tear. She picked up the eye drops she had prepared, put two drops into her eyes, and the whole process took just half a minute.
Dugu Mohan was dumbfounded, with the words “set-up” echoing in his mind.
Sure enough, Ruan Chacha had barely laid down for two seconds when the butler, accompanied by the servants, rushed in.
Seeing Ruan Chacha lying on the ground in a pitiful state, crying with her face covered…
“Brother Mohan, I’m sorry; I shouldn’t have asked whose perfume scent was on you. It’s all my fault. I’m useless. I love Brother Mohan too much; my heart hurts so much…” Saying these words against her will, could her heart not ache?
Dugu Mohan was too angry to utter a word. Whose heart is hurting now?
The butler and servants quickly helped Ruan Chacha up. “Madam, are you okay? Did your foot get hurt?”
Ruan Chacha lowered her head, shaking it slowly. “Butler, my foot is fine. Don’t blame Brother Mohan; I fell by myself.”
The butler and servants knew very well that it must be the master resorting to violence against the madam again. Fortunately, they arrived on time.
“Madam…” The butler, anxious, could only turn to Dugu Mohan and say, “Sir! It’s not right to resort to violence, especially against your wife. This constitutes domestic violence, and Madam can sue you. Do you understand the severity of the situation?”
In Uncle Xing’s eyes, Dugu Mohan, despite his age, was still like a child. Now, he was thoroughly disappointed in him.
For the first time, Dugu Mohan saw Uncle Xing being so serious. Even the so-called Rakshasa felt stunned for a moment.
“Uncle Xing, I didn’t lay a hand on her.” Dugu Mohan calmly informed Uncle Xing.
Uncle Xing just shook his head, instructing the servants to take care of Ruan Chacha and asking if she was feeling any discomfort.
Ruan Chacha, who had been crying, felt a bit sad seeing the disappointment in Uncle Xing’s eyes. It wasn’t because she pitied Dugu Mohan; it was for Uncle Xing. In the story, Uncle Xing treated the male lead like his own son, unable to bear parting with him and dedicating his entire life to the Dugu family.
Uncle Xing seemed genuinely heartbroken for Dugu Mohan. Ruan Chacha gained +3 Green Tea Points, but she didn’t feel happy for the first time. Next time, she’d green tea Dugu Mohan in front of others.
She was mainly worried about Uncle Xing being upset. If something happened to him, it would be her fault. She wanted to live, but trading one life for another wasn’t meaningful.
Ruan Chacha sincerely comforted Uncle Xing. “Uncle Xing, I’m really fine. Brother Mohan didn’t hit me. I just accidentally fell. The perfume scent was my mistake; it’s from the perfume I sprayed in my room.”
Ruan Chacha finished speaking in one breath, “It has nothing to do with Brother Mohan.” She thought that saying this would at least bring some comfort and relief to Uncle Xing.
However, the result was quite the opposite. Uncle Xing, with an even more stern expression, turned to Dugu Mohan, “Look! Listen! Such a good woman. If you don’t like her, fine! But don’t hurt her!”
Uncle Xing became visibly agitated while addressing Dugu Mohan.
Dugu Mohan: “…”
He never laid a hand on her in the first place.
Ruan Chacha was bewildered. It seemed her green tea image had deeply ingrained itself in Uncle Xing’s heart, making it difficult to change his perception at the moment.
