Chapter 8: The Heroine Has Arrived

As Rosa’s wound closed up, Helena, while tenderly caring for Rosa’s body, prepared a bath. The affected area was completely healed, and there was no pain from the injury.

It felt good to be in the bath after a long time.

Helena dripped Rosa’s favorite rose essential oil into the water.

In the pleasant steam, with a pleasant fragrance rising, Rosa vaguely recalled memories from her past life.

(Come to think of it, I used to love baths so much that I even made bath bombs.)

Rosa couldn’t forget the refreshing sensation of those fizzy bath bombs.

While bathing, she sealed her smartphone in a waterproof bag and found solace in reading manga.

Once her injuries were fully healed, she thought about making her own bath bombs, testing them, and maybe sharing them with friends. If they were well received, she even considered trying to sell them.

Suddenly, a wonderful idea came to her. In her past life, she had dreamed of owning her own shop someday, but that dream had been overshadowed by a challenging corporate life.

Fortunately, Rosa now had the means to make that dream come true. She had a surprising amount of pocket money, and her family was wealthy, thanks to her father’s investments and business ventures.

In the manga, Rosa, who became the third prince’s fiancée, demanded expensive jewelry, earning disapproval from the royal family and nobility.

Rosa unfortunately believed that receiving expensive gifts equated to being loved. The idea that money equals love seemed a bit pitiful.

In the end, she was not loved by Alex.

If that’s the case, she thought, why not use her own money instead of begging from gentlemen?

(Come to think of it, isn’t the Croitzer family wealthier than the royal family?)

She was getting tired of being bedridden and wanted to heal quickly so she could go out and explore the city.

She wanted to go shopping and visit sweet shops in the capital, and now that she didn’t need to worry about others’ opinions, she could enjoy these things without the need for a diet.

When Rosa was able to get up on her own, a visitor came to see her.

“Miss Rosa, there’s a visitor here to wish you well.”

“Who has come?”

Rosa had an entourage, so she knew a few people.

She gets out of bed and puts on a shawl.

“This is Ellen from the Baron Moreau family.”

At Helena’s words, Rosa’s movements stopped completely.

(Why would Ellen, who isn’t close to me, be the first to visit? Why?)

Unable to understand the meaning, she felt a vague sense of unease.

In the manga, Rosa was unaware of Alex and Ellen’s feelings for each other at this time. They only exchanged greetings at social events and engaged in casual conversations.

In other words, they had a superficial relationship, and they weren’t close enough for Ellen to visit her when she was unwell.

Moreover, Ellen was not even one of Rosa’s attendants, and her lower status meant there was no reason for Rosa to see her as a rival.

So why did Ellen come to visit her?

“Could it be that she’s interested in His Highness?”

Unfortunately, there was no such passage in the manga.

Rosa couldn’t recall her past life in detail, and certainly she couldn’t remember the specific details of the manga.

Being a villainous mob character, it was likely that these minor details weren’t mentioned in the manga.

Ellen might have become anxious that Rosa’s injury could lead to her engagement with Alex.

If that’s the case, it seemed wise to reassure her that there were no ulterior motives.
