Chapter 4
The child’s face still resembled a human face, but it was covered with densely packed bluish-purple tumors, giving it a terrifying appearance.
The tumor on the left eyelid was particularly prominent, resembling a small, fleshy ball hanging down.
Under the pressure of the tumor, the left eye was reduced to a narrow slit.
For anyone else, seeing such a face suddenly might cause shock and screams, but for Nan Yuan, it was a highly recognizable face.
All living beings, whether beautiful or ugly, are just skin bags.
The freakish child, stared at by Nan Yuan for a long time, struggled fiercely.
The children around him kicked him. “Die, freak, stinky mute!”
“Get lost.” Nan Yuan coldly glanced over.
In a world of survival for the fittest, the strong are likable, but things that prey on the weak are not so cute.
With this command, several children felt ringing in their ears and headaches and quickly ran away.
Is the fairy out of her mind to actually stand up for this dirty, smelly, and ugly freak?
It’s really damn unlucky!
The little freak crouched on the ground, tightly clutching the jerky that fell on the ground, and with a dirty face covered in tumors, looked up at Nan Yuan, his gaze full of vigilance.
Nan Yuan glanced at him and turned away.
The little freak stared at the slender figure. As Nan Yuan walked away and the figure was about to become unclear, he suddenly got up and followed, limping.
Nan Yuan turned to look at him, her gaze cold and indifferent, and said, “Don’t follow me.”
The little freak lowered his head, seeming to be afraid of her, but as if he couldn’t hear her words, he still followed.
After Nan Yuan turned around, his timid and cowardly appearance instantly changed.
He lifted his head, nibbling on the stolen jerky, and quietly observed the woman.
The left eye, adorned with tumors, narrowed completely, but the normal eye sparkled with coldness, icyness, and ungratefulness.
Curled up in Nan Yuan’s arms, Xiaotang glanced at the ugly freak and suddenly squeaked.
Nan Yuan: “Speak human language.”
“Yuan Yuan, good deeds should be carried through to the end. Why not adopt him? He will surely be grateful to you!”
Nan Yuan, lacking enthusiasm, replied, “I won’t raise a child.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I have a parenting manual in my space!”
Nan Yuan nonchalantly said, “If you want to raise him, then go ahead.”
Seeing her attitude, which seemed to satisfy whatever it wanted, Xiaotang was moved to tears. “Yuan Yuan, you spoil me even more than my daddy!”
Nan Yuan rubbed its fur.
She stopped suddenly, turned around, and looked back.
The freak behind her also stopped, met her gaze, panicked, and lowered his head, looking helpless.
“I am the lord of this Snow City. Are you willing to go to the Lord’s Mansion?” Nan Yuan asked him.
The little freak suddenly looked up at her, and his eyes widened.
That left eye, adorned with tumors, opened wide suddenly, and the tumor on top of it shook, making him look even more hideous.
Nan Yuan threw a wooden token at him and said, “I am going to Snow Mist Mountain now. If you continue to follow me, I won’t care about your life. This is my lord’s command. They will treat it as if they’ve seen me. Take it to the Lord’s Mansion and find Steward Wu.”
The little freak caught the token, looking a bit confused.
He stared at Nan Yuan blankly. After a moment, he grinned, looking extremely pleased.
Then he bent his legs and kneeled on the ground, knocking his head towards her.
The way he knocked on his head made it seem like Nan Yuan was his reincarnated parent, and he would gladly give his life to her.
