Chapter 55: Blocking

Unlocking her phone, Su Hua smoothly found Tang Tan’s name in her contacts and directly blocked his number with a light tap of her finger.

When Tang Tan called Su Hua again, he was surprised to find that he had been blocked by her.

“Jian Hua!” Tang Tan angrily slammed his phone to the ground.

Su Hua was unaware of Tang Tan’s anger.

At this moment, Su Hua was inspecting Mo Han’s bedroom.

In the city of Jiangcheng, where every inch of land was precious, it was quite impressive for Mo Han to purchase such a house just three years after graduation.

The entire room was very neat, with a color scheme of deep gray. From the neatly arranged books on the table to the placement of every item, Su Hua concluded that Mo Han had a mild case of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The furniture was simple, consisting of a desk, chair, cabinet, bed, and bedside table—no other furnishings.

Su Hua walked out, and the living room was as clean and simple as the bedroom, exuding a sense of cleanliness, though a bit too clean and lacking a homely atmosphere.

“Are you awake?” Mo Han had just come out of the study and saw the girl inspecting the room.

“Hungry?”

It was already past noon, and Su Hua, who had exercised all night and skipped breakfast, was naturally hungry.

“Yeah.”

Mo Han took out his phone. “I’ll order takeout. What do you like to eat?”

Su Hua walked straight to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and found a variety of ingredients inside.

“I’ll cook. Takeout won’t be that fast.”

The kitchen was open, and Mo Han stood in the living room, staring at the girl skillfully washing, cutting, and cooking. It was somewhat unexpected.

Soon, two dishes and a soup were ready: tomato and egg soup, stir-fried cucumber with wood ear mushrooms, and shredded pork with fish-flavored sauce.

The presentation was exquisite, the dishes had a healthy color, and it all looked very appetizing.

“Let’s eat.”

Su Hua skillfully served a bowl of rice and handed it to Mo Han.

He accepted it, and in this setting, he felt as if she were his wife.

Mo Han picked up a piece of shredded pork. Seeing Su Hua watching him intently, he nodded. “Very delicious.”

He wasn’t lying. Compared to his barely palatable cooking, Su Hua’s dishes were on the level of a master chef.

In fact, Mo Han felt that the shredded pork with fish-flavored sauce she made was even better than what he had eaten in restaurants.

Su Hua showed a satisfied smile. Having lived for so long, she had also delved into cooking, though she rarely cooked. One reason was laziness, and the other was that there was no one worthy of her cooking.

After a warm meal, Mo Han proposed to go to the company and resign. He had just received a call from his boss, asking him to return to the office immediately.

“I’ll go with you.”

Sitting in Su Hua’s car, Mo Han was lost in thought. At this moment, he began to sort out yesterday’s events. He had been avoiding it, not wanting to believe that he had almost been forced by another man.

“Do you know Mr.Tang is always like that?”

“Yeah.”

Su Hua was driving seriously, glancing at him.

“I found out a few days ago. Tang Tan threatened me not to tell anyone, especially not to let our parents know. To gather evidence against him, I had someone follow him.”

Su Hua knew that Mo Han wanted to ask why she happened to be there and how she knew his name.

Mo Han nodded, and some of the doubts in his heart dissipated, but his hatred for Tang Tan remained.

Soon, they arrived at the Tang Group’s main office.

After parking the car, Su Hua went upstairs with Mo Han in the elevator.

“Head Department Mo, Manager Zhao is looking for you.”

“Thank you.”

Mo Han thanked the staff and turned to Su Hua. “Wait here for a moment. I’ll go in and resign.”

Su Hua nodded, indicating that he should attend to his own matters.

As he was observing the office, a furious voice came from the entrance.

“Jian Hua, come over here!”
