“If this is about Li Yunze, get out.”

Shen Mubai secretly wiped away a cold sweat.

Though Tang Lengliao had no feelings for the original owner, he wasn’t completely heartless either.

With this in mind, she lowered her eyes and said, “Brother, I want you to help me poach someone from Glory Entertainment.”

Her tone carried a hint of cautious pleading and nervousness.

“Who?”

Although Tang Lengliao usually didn’t pay much attention to Glory Entertainment’s artists, he was familiar with the top stars and A-listers.

Since Yu Jingchen wasn’t one of them, he was likely just an insignificant third-tier actor or singer.

However… he cast a scrutinizing look at the woman in front of him, frowning. “What’s your relationship with him?”

Shen Mubai froze.

In her rush to come here, she hadn’t anticipated this consequence.

Within minutes, there was a knock on the door.

“President Tang, here’s the information you requested.”

“You may go. Also, have someone bring up two coffees.”

Once the coffee arrived, he leisurely opened the file, sipping his coffee as he read.

Shen Mubai held her cup, sipping it slowly.

The coffee tasted a bit bitter, but it had a rich, smooth quality that she enjoyed.

She thought to herself, “This coffee must be expensive.”

“He’s quite good-looking,” Tang Lengliao remarked suddenly.

Shen Mubai glanced up.

Tang Lengliao looked at her, his tone indifferent.

“But he’s just a newly debuted star. How do you know him?”

Shen Mubai stared at him for a moment, and in a flash of inspiration, she blurted, “I’m interested in him.”

Sensing that her persona was about to crumble, Shen Mubai quickly tried to remedy the situation, lowering her gaze and putting on a sad and dejected expression.

Tang Lengliao frowned and stared at her for a while, then returned his attention to Yu Jingchen’s file.

The more he read, the deeper his frown became.

He finally looked up and let out a cold laugh. “Tang Xiaoxing, you’ve really outdone yourself.”

Shen Mubai was utterly confused.

Tang Lengliao mistook her bewildered expression for guilt and sneered again.

“If you’re going to find a substitute, at least pick someone who looks the part. Looking closely, Yu Jingchen only vaguely resembles Li Yunze.”

Only then did Shen Mubai realize what he had misunderstood.

After a quick mental calculation, she decided to go along with it, lowering her head without saying anything.

Tang Lengliao, clearly irritated, resisted the urge to throw the woman who shared his bloodline out of the room.

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration and said calmly, “Yu Jingchen has been shelved by Glory Entertainment. The situation isn’t too complicated, but poaching him won’t be easy. I’m a businessman, and profit comes first. He’s only just debuted, and the only thing he has going for him is his looks. I’m not wasting my efforts for no reason.”
