When the Green Tea Female Side Character Wants to Ridicule the Male Lead - Chapter 4
Chapter 4:
“Ruan Chacha!!” Dugu Mohan called out Ruan Chacha’s name through gritted teeth. He turned and headed towards Ruan Chacha’s room.
The butler and the maids exchanged glances, following him anxiously, fearing that the master would harm the mistress.
Dugu Mohan stood in front of Ruan Chacha’s door with an eerily calm expression, a storm of killing intent surrounding him. He turned the doorknob forcefully.
“Open the door!” he said, his tone chilling.
Inside the room, Ruan Chacha paid no attention to the menacing look outside her door. She found the situation amusing, typical of a melodramatic plot. It seemed like it was time for her ultimate move.
Taking a deep breath, she held back her laughter and said, “Brother Mohan, if you promise not to be angry, I’ll open the door. Getting angry is bad for your health. If Brother Mohan can stay calm, I’m willing to break my other leg.”
What an emotionally touching line! Ruan Chacha almost believed it herself. All she needed to do was shed a tear to complete the act.
Dugu Mohan clenched his teeth. “Why would I be happy if you broke your leg?”
The butler’s expression turned serious. If it wasn’t because he pushed her down, there was no reason for the mistress to say such things. After all, the mistress loved the master so much.
The maids were deeply moved by the mistress’s love for the master. Even at this moment, the mistress loved the master so much. How touching!
“As long as Brother Mohan isn’t angry, I’ll open the door.” Ruan Chacha intentionally avoided discussing the topic of falling down the stairs. She leaned against the door, pretending to cry, “Sniffle, sniffle…”.
Dugu Mohan’s forehead veins bulged. Angry and with nowhere to vent, he punched the door with a loud “bang.”
Behind the door, Ruan Chacha was startled. She quickly patted her chest. Damn it! It hadn’t even been a day, and her heart had been frightened countless times.
The butler anxiously pulled down Dugu Mohan’s hand, carefully examining it. He noticed the swelling and immediately called for the medical kit.
“Your hand is swollen! I’m worried it might have injured the bone,” the butler expressed concern, but Mr. Dugu never agreed to go to the hospital.
Dugu Mohan seemed to find some comfort in Uncle Xing’s anxious expression, and his demeanor softened a bit.
Just when he was about to say he was fine, the butler continued…
“Sir, the lady is currently injured, and her mental state is not good. Please be more understanding. Also, a man should not lay hands on a woman; it’s not good,” the butler earnestly educated Dugu Mohan.
Dugu Mohan: “…”
Unaware of the fact that Dugu Mohan’s face was even darker than before he punched the door, he forcefully pulled his hand back and went downstairs.
The butler shouted from behind, “Sir! Your hand!” What should they do now?
Dugu Mohan didn’t respond; he was probably about to cough up blood from anger.
Ruan Chacha rubbed her ears. “My ears are almost deaf.” This dog-like male lead might actually have violent tendencies—extremely brutal.
Luckily, the door was of good quality. Ruan Chacha was about to return to bed to continue her lazy life as a salted fish when she heard a knock on the door.
Ruan Chacha turned in confusion, looking at the closed door. “Who is it?” It shouldn’t be the kind of person who would cling so persistently, like the male lead.
“It’s me, madam. Are you feeling unwell?” The butler, fearing that the master might have hurt the mistress severely, spoke cautiously.
Ruan Chacha, upon hearing it was the butler, felt relieved. “I’m fine. How is Brother Mohan’s hand? Is it serious?” Her tone was filled with concern and worry, but she couldn’t help rolling her eyes at herself after saying such words.
The butler was touched. The mistress had it tough. The master really didn’t know how to cherish her.
“Madam, don’t worry. The master’s hand will be taken care of by the doctor at the company.” The butler considered making a call to Han Annan. They had to get the master’s hand checked, and only then could he be at ease.
Ruan Chacha still opened the door. “That’s good. Uncle Xing, you go about your business. I… want to be alone for a while.” She hadn’t eaten much of her snacks yet.
Seeing her open the door, the butler, with a worn-out and uneasy expression, softened even more.
“Alright, don’t think too much. Rest well, heal your leg injury, and in half a month, you’ll be returning to the old house. Get your complexion back, and the old master won’t have to worry so much.”
Ruan Chacha was startled. “Yeah, I know. By the way, Uncle Xing, if… if Brother Mohan comes back, please let me know.” She wanted to disgust him with more green tea antics.
The butler, relieved but also filled with sympathy, said, “Tell Madam right away. Rest well. If there’s anything, just tell Uncle Xing.” After the lady’s fall, even though she had been asleep for a few days, her personality hadn’t fully recovered upon waking up.
The butler, in his heart, was always worried that Mr. Dugu might be responsible for Ruan Chacha being pushed down the stairs. In his impression, Mr. Dugu was still like a child a few years old—kind and brave. Even if he was a bit indifferent and had a temper, he would, at most, scold people.
However, the butler was uneasy about the way Mr. Dugu completely ignored Madam when she rolled down the stairs today, contrasting with his previous image. He thought about it but couldn’t be certain if Mr. Dugu’s temperament had changed significantly over the years.
Ruan Chacha closed the door with a worried expression, but immediately turned her face, grinned, and thought, “Perfectly done!” She hopped back to the bed, grabbed her snacks, and checked her green tea value while eating. Great, it’s 21 points! Fantastic!
The snacks in her mouth seemed to be getting more delicious, and she enjoyed watching TV in a contented mood. These days were truly blissful. If not for the tragic ending that needed to be reversed, she would love to continue living like a carefree pig, enjoying each moment.
As Dugu Mohan arrived at the company, Han Annan soon reached his office.
Both remained silent. While Han Annan tended to his hand, he shook his head helplessly.
“Uncle Xing already told me. Why are you competing with her? Everyone dislikes her. Once Grandpa’s fondness for her diminishes, you can divorce her. Why bother with…” From pushing her down the stairs to wanting to use force, Mohan’s temper seemed to be getting more irritable.
Dugu Mohan had a headache and leaned back in his chair, too tired to argue.
“Ding.”
Ruan Chacha paused in her snack-eating motion. “How did the green tea value increase?” It was strange. Suddenly, her green tea value increased by 1 point. Was the system an afterthought? Ruan Chacha thought it was likely a good thing; as long as it didn’t decrease, it was fine.
Over the next few days, Ruan Chacha spent all her time in bed, eating, and sleeping. She wasn’t bothered at all; she loved this kind of life. Some might say that such a life was useless, but she just wanted to be a slacker. It was so comfortable.
She didn’t understand why people insisted on leaving their comfort zones. If it’s so comfortable, why change?
Ruan Chacha tilted her head and thought. Perhaps it was because of concerns about health. Not exercising was indeed not good.
While thinking it wasn’t good, her mouth was stuffed with snacks. The next day, she slept in until mid-morning again. Ah, a new day of happiness was beginning.
Since the last time Dugu Mohan went out, he hasn’t returned in these few days. Ruan Chacha felt that it wouldn’t do. Lying here for too long was a bit too quiet. She had to maintain her image and consider whether to take the initiative.
Leaning on her crutches, Ruan Chacha got up and went downstairs for breakfast, and the servants were surprised to see her come down for breakfast. After all, everyone thought Madam was too heartbroken and had been binge-eating for days, which was truly distressing.
In a few days, Ruan Chacha’s face had gained some flesh. She didn’t expect the servants to be so imaginative. She even worried about eating too much, affecting the performance of the upcoming green tea attack.
