Chapter 11: My Brother Is Not Human (11)

The deafening sound of pounding at the door echoed from outside.

Sang Yu let out a yawn, re-locked the shackles onto her fair ankles, and buried herself beneath the quilt on the bed.

The dolls couldn’t break in anyway, so she had nothing to worry about.

Day broke.

The small windowless room remained pitch-black.

Sang Yu heard a faint noise and opened her eyes slowly.

The door pushed open, and Brother walked inside.

An imperceptible metallic scent of blood drifted from him, and a few drops of dark red blood stained his cuffs.

“Brother, you’re back,” Sang Yu said, her voice soft and raspy from just waking up.

Brother’s expression was unreadable in the dim room. He cast his eyes downward, a flash of crimson crossing his gaze as his dangerous posture settled on Sang Yu’s ankles.

“It seems this chain isn’t serving much purpose for Little Yu,” he noted.

A mere fraction of small details had been enough to trigger his suspicion.

Sang Yu pulled her feet back under the blanket. The chains clanked together, ringing out with a crisp sound.

She strongly suspected that her perverted brother wanted to break her legs right now.

“Brother, I missed you so much! Terrifying things kept banging on the door all night. I was so scared being home by myself,” Sang Yu said, wrapping her arms around Brother’s waist and burying her entire body against his chest.

Though Brother was a pervert, he was easy to coax.

Sure enough, the icy atmosphere surrounding him vanished instantly.

He patted Sang Yu’s back gently and said in a warm voice, “Brother is back now. Don’t be afraid, Little Yu.”

Sang Yu glanced toward the door. After a night of destruction, the surface was covered in crisscrossed scratch marks and mottled bloodstains, a truly blood-curdling sight.

Another day survived!

Brother unlocked the shackles for Sang Yu. His cold fingertips accidentally brushed against her ankle, making her shudder uncontrollably.

“Little Yu, your eighteenth birthday is coming up soon. Is there a gift you want?” Brother asked suddenly.

Sang Yu suddenly remembered that the final day of the game quest was her birthday, which also happened to be Brother’s birthday.

Instead of answering, she asked him back, “What gift do you want, Brother?”

Brother’s eyes flickered slightly, and the corners of his mouth curved into a profound arc. He spoke slowly, “I want—you!”

Sang Yu’s face instantly flushed red.

The System howled with excitement inside her head, “Host, agree to it right now! This is your chance to push him down!”

“Is Little Yu unwilling?”

Seeing that Sang Yu didn’t answer, the light in Brother’s eyes dimmed slightly.

Sang Yu stammered hastily, “I… I am willing.”

She figured that once the quest ended, she probably wouldn’t see this perverted brother ever again. At worst, she would devour him completely and then pat her rear and leave.

Sang Yu made up her mind.

Mainly focusing on being completely irresponsible.

Brother’s mood instantly brightened. He kissed Sang Yu on the cheek and smiled dotingly, “Since Little Yu agreed to Brother, you can’t back out later!”

Sang Yu looked at Brother seriously and said, “Little Yu likes Brother. I won’t regret it.”

System, “Ding, favorability +10. Current favorability is at 80%.”

The favorability surged up, yet the gaze Brother used to look at Sang Yu grew increasingly dangerous.

His red eyes narrowed slightly, a strange smile hanging from his lips.

[Is this a horror livestream or a romance reality show?]

The viewers in the livestream chat posed a soul-searching question.

[I suspect this is a knockoff horror stream.]

[Woke up to find a player falling in love with a terrifying NPC.]

[Who understands the pain of tuning into a horror stream only to get fed a mouthful of romantic dog food?]

[Even horror livestreams are starting to abuse single people now?]

Wails rang out everywhere in the comment section.

However, it didn’t stop everyone from shipping the couple.

After all, in all the years the horror game had existed, there had never been a player flirting with an NPC!

Sang Yu dawdled for a while before heading up to the private bathroom on the third floor to wash up.

After washing her face, she looked into the mirror.

The reflection returned a ruthless, malicious glare.

It was a look that did not belong to her.

Sang Yu realized instantly that the female ghost was back again.

Crimson blood seeped out from the mirror’s surface, slowly coalescing.

This time, the bloody words on the mirror changed to “FLEE.”

The female ghost was trying to persuade Sang Yu to leave this place.

Sang Yu pursed her lips and said to the ghost in the mirror, “It seems your previous little tricks were just meant to scare me so I would leave this place.”

The bloody text shifted, changing to “YES.”

Seeing that the female ghost was willing to communicate, Sang Yu raised an eyebrow.

“I’ll ask you a few questions, and I hope you can tell me.”

“Were you an adopted orphan?”

The bloody words didn’t change. It seemed the female ghost was indeed one of the orphans.

“Were the adoptive parents the ones who murdered you?”

The bloody text remained unchanged again. Sang Yu narrowed her eyes, her gaze turning cold.

She continued asking, “What is Brother’s true identity?”

“Crack—”

The mirror shattered outright.

The facial features of the ghost inside the mirror split into pieces, deep terror showing in her pupils.

She… did not dare to answer!

Sang Yu looked at the shattered mirror, her expression becoming increasingly stern.

Ultimately…

She came to a conclusion.

“The quality of this mirror is kind of terrible!”

After wiping her face dry, Sang Yu left the bathroom.

Brother had already prepared breakfast, a simple spread that looked, smelled, and tasted wonderful.

Sang Yu sat at the dining table, preparing to eat…

“Come here.”

Brother suddenly gestured to Sang Yu with a hook of his finger, as if calling a dog.

Sang Yu had no choice but to walk over.

Brother grabbed Sang Yu’s wrist and pulled her into his lap.

He seemed to have just taken a shower. The faint metallic scent of blood was gone, replaced by a light, woody fragrance.

“Brother will feed Little Yu breakfast,” Brother said softly in a low, seductive voice, a simple sentence sounding lingering and intimate coming from his lips.

Sang Yu’s body tensed for a split second, her heart skipping a beat.

She had to admit, she was mesmerized by this man.

Sang Yu obediently accepted Brother’s feeding, taking over an hour just to finish breakfast.

“Brother worked the night shift yesterday. Do you need to catch up on sleep during the day?” Sang Yu asked attentively.

Brother chuckled softly and asked, “What? Does Little Yu want to sleep with Brother?”

Sang Yu raised an eyebrow, and she didn’t decline.

“Sure, I’ll keep Brother company.”

She hooked her pinky around Brother’s, her fingertips gently brushing against his palm.

[Eat your fill, sleep tight.]

[Begging the stream to stop blurring out the good parts!]

[Don’t sleep yet, I’ll go drag the civil affairs bureau over so you guys can get married first!]

[Young people don’t realize how good older brothers are, mistaking younger brothers for treasures.]

[Does anyone still remember… this is a horror stream?]

Brother brought Sang Yu to his room on the second floor.

It was a dim room, its four walls completely covered with photos of Sang Yu.

At a glance, one would think they had walked into a criminal’s lair.

Brother’s expression remained unchanged as he held Sang Yu’s hand and walked toward the bed.

At this moment, Sang Yu was like a little lamb stepping right into a tiger’s den.

Her eyes darted around. Brother’s hands were freezing, yet her body was slowly growing hot.

A lonely man and woman sharing a room—she really wanted something to happen!

Suddenly, Sang Yu lost her balance and fell onto the soft bed.

Looking up, Brother’s magnified face filled her vision.

His arms braced on either side of Sang Yu, the firm muscle lines showing subtle veins. His cold breath blew against Sang Yu’s face, tickling her skin.

“Brother,” Sang Yu called out in a tiny voice. She saw the restrained self-control in Brother’s eyes.

“Little Yu…”

The light in Brother’s eyes trembled, his breathing deepening. He lowered his head and kissed Sang Yu’s lips.

The gentle kiss ended quickly. Feeling unsatisfied, Sang Yu raised her hands to hook around Brother’s neck, pulling him down so his entire body pressed against hers.

Sang Yu took the initiative to kiss Brother—an unpracticed kiss that nevertheless drove them both wild.
