Chapter 47-Part 4

Ji Ran thought for a moment and said, “Maybe in the future, there will be an app where you just need to select the restaurant on the app, place your order, and then there will be dedicated people delivering the food to your doorstep.”

“An app like that?” Shen Zhi was slightly stunned.

Suddenly, he chuckled. “It does sound very convenient.”

Ji Ran nodded, then suddenly she paused because she remembered a rumor in the investment bank. It was said that Shen Zhi’s first major case in the investment bank was financing a billion-dollar investment for a food delivery app.

How old was he back then, twenty-three or twenty-four?

“What’s wrong?” Shen Zhi placed a soup dumpling on a small plate in front of her, noticing her distraction.

Ji Ran shook her head, smiling. “Nothing.”

Whether it was because Ji Ran was genuinely a bit hungry or because the soup dumplings here were exceptionally delicious, she ate a few bites, and before she knew it, half of the soup dumplings were in her stomach.

She looked at Shen Zhi and whispered, “Shen Zhi, have you ever thought about what kind of person you’ll become in the future?”

Shen Zhi raised his gaze and said, “I haven’t thought about it.”

Ji Ran was about to speak, but he interjected, not hurriedly, “Well, it’s definitely going to be someone impressive.”

Ji Ran: “…”

You’re really confident.

But when she thought of Shen Zhi ten years later, she suddenly sighed inwardly; this person’s confidence was indeed justified.

“Okay, hurry up and eat. After we finish, I’ll take you to play.” Shen Zhi saw her pause again and couldn’t help but say.

Ji Ran showed a surprised expression.

Finally, it was Shen Zhi’s turn to lean back in his chair and, with a stern expression, say, “Ji Ran, I find your attitude very casual.”

Ji Ran was taken aback. What has she done now?

Shen Zhi continued calmly, “Our date, do I need to remind you?”

After breakfast, Ji Ran packed up her backpack and prepared to leave. But as she was about to go, Shen Zhi glanced at her and said helplessly, “Are you really going to make people think I’m trafficking a minor?”

Ji Ran glanced down at her backpack. Was it that suspicious?

But she was still a minor.

Suddenly, Ji Ran felt emboldened. Yeah, he was indeed trafficking high school students.

In the end, neither of them carried their backpacks. Shen Zhi brought a wallet with him. After leaving the community, he hailed a taxi, gave the driver an address, and they set off.

Because the place was in the suburbs, it was quite far, and it took a full forty minutes to get there.

When the driver stopped, Ji Ran squinted, half asleep, and was gently awakened by Shen Zhi.

As she got out of the car and looked at the massive gate in front of her, along with the people queuing up at the entrance, she realized that Shen Zhi had brought her to an amusement park.

Today was Saturday, and there were quite a few people.

Shen Zhi asked her to wait in place for a while while he went to buy tickets.

After about ten minutes, he returned and led Ji Ran inside. Remarkably, all the equipment in the amusement park began to operate. Even the massive fountain at the entrance began to play cheerful music.

Ji Ran took a map of the amusement park from the entrance, showing the locations of various attractions.

“What do you want to play?” Shen Zhi asked her.

Ji Ran lowered her head and pointed to the roller coaster on the map, which was quite close to them. “It’s said that this roller coaster is the longest in Asia, with a drop of over ten meters.”

All of this was described on the map.

Shen Zhi nodded, and they walked over.

However, when they arrived, Ji Ran looked at the crowded queue area and suddenly felt immense pressure. She whispered, “Or, let’s play something with fewer people first.”

Shen Zhi glanced indifferently and said calmly, “If you want to play, just play.”

He reached out and directly pulled Ji Ran to the staff member standing at the entrance. When he showed his ticket to the staff, the staff member picked up the device in his hand and shouted to the people inside, “We have two VIP guests here; please reserve two spots.”

In that moment, Ji Ran felt the gaze of hundreds of pairs of eyes in the queue area.

Actually, Ji Ran had never queued up to play in an amusement park since she was a child. This was her first time playing with a boy of the same age. In her impression, high school students of their age would usually queue up together when they went out to play. They would look at the toys and souvenirs in the park and occasionally consider the prices.

But she forgot that the person beside her was Shen Zhi.

While Ji Ran was still dazed, Shen Zhi remained calm. His voice was even, and he calmly pulled her and said, “Let’s go.”

So, under the guidance of the staff, they quickly entered the area through the VIP passage.

As they waited, people around them kept looking at them.

Suddenly, Ji Ran had a thought.

So this is what it feels like to be the bigshot’s woman.

But as soon as the thought arose, Ji Ran shook her head vigorously. What nonsense was she thinking?

How could she be so shameless!!!

Seeing her shaking her head and pursing her lips again, Shen Zhi found it particularly amusing.

He couldn’t help but ask softly, “What are you thinking about?”

His voice was especially gentle, with a hint of coaxing, causing Ji Ran to be stunned again.

But the next moment, she deliberately said, “I’m just thinking, are we being too ostentatious like this?”

Shen Zhi looked at her, a faint smile gradually appearing in his deep black eyes. He leaned close to her, almost touching her ear, and whispered, “Is this ostentatious?”

Then she heard Shen Zhi say, “If I kiss you here, that would be ostentatious.”
